Family of 4 . El Segundo family photographer . Missy Marie Photography

This darling family of 4 received a gift certificate last year, and I was so excited when they called to schedule their photo session! I met them in El Segundo at the beautiful Library Park, and after a few photos there, we traveled over to El Segundo High School, which has positively gorgeous architectural details.

I am enjoying revisiting some of the photo sessions from the end of last year, and catching up posting on the blog. Be sure to check out my information for a photo shoot with me ~ would love to see you!

enjoy xo missy

Proud . Rancho Palos Verdes Family photographer . Missy Marie Photography

A dear friend for almost 20 years…I am so thankful for our friendship, and our tight group of friends that we have.

As they arrived at our photo session, we reminisced about the time I held her son when he was just a baby. And now, he is in high school! And, of course, with an amazing sister, too! What a great life we have had, being friends for so many years, and getting to see all the wonderful moments in each others’ lives. I am so proud of Amy and her endless positivity, generosity, drive, joy and sheer happiness. It’s infectious, and wonderful to be around!

Amy, make sure you print these, and get them up on your walls!! LOVE you!

enjoy, m

Happy New Year, and Thank You!

As I’m sitting here on this 2nd day of January, contemplating whether or not I should start taking down Christmas, I am instead thinking about a recent conversation that I had with a friend about my little photography business that I started almost 6 years ago. She complemented me for being able to “make it” doing something that I love. That statement really got me thinking about what I do, and what I have done in my past. I have worked for about 30 years, some jobs part time, some jobs more as a career (mostly in retail/wholesale apparel), some great, some not so great, but nothing I would say I really loved. As a kid, I had my eye on being a clothing buyer for a store. I actually did that for several years at Nordstrom…and even with accomplishing that dream, that job wasn’t really everything I thought it would be. I am proud to say that I have really landed in something that I love. I love meeting new people and families that show up to our shoot ready to take photos. I love winning over kids that might not be so sure about a stranger sticking a camera lens near them. I love creating custom photo sets and images that are new, fresh and creative with each client I have. I love delivering photo galleries, and getting products to my clients for them to put on display in their homes.

This past year, I shot 63 families, 6 extended families, 2 Bat Mitzvahs, 1 Bar Mitzvah, 1 engagement, 1 wedding, 4 newborns and 12 head shot sessions. I also donated my time to photography our local school Silent Auction fundraiser event, and donated 5 photo sessions for our local schools.

It’s true, I do love what I do. But most importantly, I couldn’t do it without you…my clients. I’m so very thankful to you for trusting me to capture you and your family. And so thankful that you see something in my style that you like, and that you want for yourself. Seriously, so thankful!

so, thank YOU for being the reason why I love what I do.

Happy New Year…so excited for what 2017 will bring!

Smiles For Days . Hermosa Beach Photographer . Missy Marie Photography

These smiles are real! These darling girls come by their beautiful smiles honestly…just check mom’s smile! I love that the older sis told me that her cheeks hurt from laughing and smiling so much. Boy, do we have fun.

This is year number 5 with the Hughes family, and I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have this lovely family come back to me year after year, and trust me with their precious family photos.

enjoy! xo missy

I love taking pictures of people…of personalities, of love, of relationships, of connections, of giggles and of real life. Sometimes beauty takes on a bit of messiness, but in the end, you will be able to see the real and authentic love that you and your people have for one another. And that…is what matters.

Let’s make this easy – Sessions are One Price, ALL INCLUSIVE and stress free.
