Sabrina . Malibu children’s photographer

Could she BE any cuter?  This little darling would have absolutely nothing to do with me for our session…so, I put my 200mm zoom lens on my camera, and proceeded to run around after her for 90 minutes!  No, not really…we did have a few still moments while she was occupied building a “leaf fort” for her Dora figurine, quacking at the ducks and running by her sweet mom for a quick hug.

I love the story of this red dress…her mom wore this as a toddler, and held onto it for her daughter to wear.  It was just perfect.  Enjoy!

I HEART New York II

After much discussion and attempts to remember anything, (just anything!)…I think we decided that this was our fourth year traveling with our friends to New York.  What a fantastic tradition to have with such wonderful friends.  I just love my friend Kim, who I met 25 many years ago in college.  Thankfully, I also like her husband, and I think my hubby and her hubby have formed a slight bromance, too (phew, cause even if they didn’t like each other, I think we would go anyway).

This trip was a little different than past trips because I did NOT BRING MY BIG CAMERA.  Now, don’t get me wrong, you must realize how much I love my camera, and how much I love to take pictures.  It almost pains me not to have it. But for this trip? …let’s be honest, I felt some amount of relief! Hurray!  Freedom!  Freedom from feeling the pressure to take a picture of something I didn’t want to miss! Freedom from carrying that bag around…should I bring just one lens?  2?  How about my flash? Tripod? (nah, just kidding)  So, being a photographer through and through, I did get some pictures with this handy little application on my iPhone called Instagram.  If you haven’t used this cool and free app, you must get it.  Not only can you share the pictures with your “friends/followers”, you can also apply really cool filters to transform the look and feel of your pics.  Now, I am not a spokesperson for Instagram, but I will certainly endorse something that I like.

So, these photos were taken with my phone!  Quick and easy.  Oh, and if you were wondering about that multitude of “santas” outside that bar photo?  You can read about that here. What a hoot!

We did some walking, eating, shopping, tooled around Rockefeller Center, eating and well, some more eating. We had a great time, I look forward to many more trips with them!

Braeden, Trevor + Alexa . Manhattan Beach family photographer

What an absolute joy this past holiday photo taking season was…I am playing major catch up with my blog, and doing a little jog down memory lane with some of the new clients I met.  This family bought a gift certificate at their elementary school silent auction that I had donated.  I loved how caring they each were for one another, and what a little personality Alexa was.  She borrowed my phone, and took a video of me photographing her mom and brother.  (I laughed so hard when I watched it…I am such a dork!)  They met me at Hopkins Wilderness Park in Redondo Beach, which continues to be one of my favorite places to shoot.  Enjoy!

Kai . Hermosa Beach children’s photographer

Kai is one!  Happy birthday, little dude!  I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed photographing this little guy’s first year of life!  From his newborn session to his 7 month session, to his 11 month session…I have loved watching this little guy grow and develop from a squishy newborn to a walking, giggling little man.  And a lover of cake, too.  Enjoy!

I love taking pictures of people…of personalities, of love, of relationships, of connections, of giggles and of real life. Sometimes beauty takes on a bit of messiness, but in the end, you will be able to see the real and authentic love that you and your people have for one another. And that…is what matters.

Let’s make this easy – Sessions are One Price, ALL INCLUSIVE and stress free.
