What beautiful twin girls ~ I love how sweet they are, and I love how they call me, Miss Missy. Such incredible manners, and genuine goodness in their hearts. I bet their mom had a LOT to do with that… Enjoy!

Now that the Holiday-Photo-Session-Season has wrapped up, the one question that I get asked over and over is, “How do I hang my photos on my wall?” I love hanging photos of my kids on my walls. I love printing out my favorite images of them (and even sometimes one or two with the entire family), putting them in frames, and filling my walls with the people I love the most. For some, the task of doing just that might be overwhelming, and it is put on the back burner. The last thing I want my clients to do is put their precious images aside, because the thought of putting them up on their wall is too much.
So, how do I do it? I am surprised by how many people are shocked when I tell them that I use Velcro to hang all my framed photos. There are different brands available to use, however, I like the Command Brand. They come in different sizes, and also in black and white. They are sold at most craft/office/hardware/Target stores, or you could find them online, too.
Once you determine the size of the strips that you need, separate the strips using the handy perforated edges. Press the strips together, velcro’s facing each other until it “snaps” together.
Peel one liner off, and press the strips onto the back of your frame. I line up the strip on the outside edge of the frame, there is a little overhang on the inside edge of the frame. Press firmly. Once you have all strips mounted on the back, as shown, prepare to hang your frame on the wall. I use 4 sets of size medium strips to hang a 16”x20” photo (frame size is about 24”x28”, and weighs about 5 ½ pounds).
Make sure the surface is clean and dry. I do a trial run with a level and a second person behind me to guide where the frame should hang. Once I know where I want it to go, I then peel off the liners, set my level on top of the frame, and position on the wall.
Press firmly and hold for about 30 seconds, and voila, you are done! Command’s instructions are very helpful, too.
What a wonderful family… recent transplants from Chicago, moving right here to the South Bay. I loved getting to know this lovely family, and their 3 darling kids. And the mom? Wow, so impressed with how great she looks, just 5 months after her baby was born. Enjoy!
When I think of this family, one thing really comes to the forefront of my mind. And that is, how much this mom loves having her family photographed. I have enjoyed taking 2 years of photos of this group, and I just appreciate how much trust she puts in me to capture her son as a newborn, her daughter’s graduation, and countless other family photo sessions. The greatest part of all of it? I have developed a wonderful friendship with their family.
This session was so fun, we walked around downtown Hermosa Beach, our awesome little beach town. Enjoy!
What’s not to love about these? Gorgeous kids, awesome family, and great, great parents. Love you guys…Enjoy!
I love taking pictures of people…of personalities, of love, of relationships, of connections, of giggles and of real life. Sometimes beauty takes on a bit of messiness, but in the end, you will be able to see the real and authentic love that you and your people have for one another. And that…is what matters.
Let’s make this easy – Sessions are One Price, ALL INCLUSIVE and stress free.
