I about died when this handsome fella showed up with his momma and his red tricycle on the Manhattan Beach Pier.  Every year the city of Manhattan Beach puts Christmas trees along the entire length of the pier, and it provides a perfect backdrop for photos at the beach.

Oh, these girls.  SO lovely, mature, smart, fearless and downright awesome.  Each has their own passion…Kira, a lead singer in a rock band, and Brynn, an extremely talented dancer.  I love seeing these gals, and photographing them every year.  Oh, and by the way, I love their parents, too.

Blog posts will be short and sweet these days… I heard this the other day, and it is so true ~ “Fall is to photographers as April is to accountants” – a little crazy!

This family totally rules.  The girls are just precious, and they really are this happy! We rocked this location, and their outfits were perfect and colorful! I won’t share the money shots, and those will be saved for their Holiday Cards.

I am giggling a little bit as I am writing this…I have something to admit here about this shoot.  Here it is: I am not really a dog person.  Not at all.  I never had dogs growing up, and am kinda allergic to them, anyway. So, when this awesome family contacted me to do a photo shoot, specifically to get professional photos of their new puppy, I giggled. I did.  I kinda laughed!  Not at them, of course…..or this ADORABLE puppy.  But at myself!  I really don’t know how to get a dog’s attention…do I whistle? or “yoo-hoo!” or what?  So, I tried whistling, and I felt a bit awkward (as my girls say).

I must say that the outcome looks pretty good!  Whiskey (the puppy) didn’t know that I am not really a dog person, in fact, he looked at me, smiled, gave me a “cute” look, and everything I directed him to do!  Aren’t I a pro???  =)
