hermosa beach natives ~ 16th street {hermosa beach photographer}

Oh, Hermosa Beach…. I just love our town, with its 1.5 square miles of about 20,000 wonderful people. We are so lucky to call this little city our home. I had the opportunity to photograph these Hermosa Beach natives last fall. 16th Street is the place they found their beginning here and each other. So, 16th street is where their photo session was held.

Can we all just sit back and admire the beautiful beach? The light, the sky, the gorgeous sun lit ocean? I love photo shoots during the week…it was like we had the beach to ourselves.

I love their laid back, beach style, and that they showed up to the shoot on their bikes. I love that their kids are mini versions of their mom and dad, and I love that they shared their love for each other with me. This session has lots of good feels, and wonderful family connections. AND, some seriously collectively rad hair.

Manhattan Beach Bar Mitzvah Photographer . Missy Marie Photography

I was so honored to be asked to photograph this young man’s bar mitzvah celebration at the Mesa Verde Country Club. The party was designed around his love and amazing skills for soccer. He was surrounded by family and close friends as they celebrated, played games and danced to the tunes of Silvertunes Entertainment.

I’ve been photographing these guys since before little Lucy was born… I must say that there must be some strong DNA here, as the kids have the same energetic and fun personalities as their mom and dad, which I LOVE about them. Love seeing these guys!

Oh, the personalities…so cute, and so giggly. These little gals reminded me of my sisters and me; I was one of 3 girls, too. I was imagining their dad in about 8 or 10 years, living with 4 women. And I smiled.
