How lucky I am to have met this family? They came to me by way of another friend/client, and scheduled their photo session for the beach at the Hermosa Beach Pier. Now, this family just moved here from the East Coast…specifically, North Carolina, so this was their first photo shoot on the West Coast beaches. I love how they embraced the “beach casualness” of Hermosa, and came perfectly dressed for the occasion; dad even wore flip flops and a hoodie. On top of that, they brought a volleyball and a smash ball set to show off their beach sport skills. 😜

This family was introduced to me a few years ago through their real estate agent. This agent purchased a MMP Gift Certificate as a closing gift for this family, and we’ve been seeing each other ever since. I met their sweet daughter when she was just a few months old. I can’t tell you how much I genuinely enjoy them every year. They had just returned from a trip to Asia the day before, and might have had a bit of jet lag, but they smiled and laughed and loved on their sweet daughter as if they had all the rest in the world. They are just happy! And I mean, happy. And I love that so much.

Ohhhhh, this family. I love them so much! I loved being a part of Gaby’s big day, her bat mitzvah. The ceremony was held at Temple Menorah in Redondo Beach. After a beautiful ceremony and luncheon, the guests headed over to the Palos Verdes Performing Arts Norris Theatre for a reception designed and decorated honoring Gaby’s love for the theater! Seriously, this gal!

I am very much enjoying the amazing weather that is happening these days for my photo sessions. There has been a little bit more rain than usual, and although it is just a sprinkle or two, we are getting the most unbelievable skies and sunsets. I love a good rainy day sky, even if things are little damp, the interesting cloud formations make it worth it! This family rallied through a bit of rain towards the end of our shoot down at Rat Beach…you can even see some rain drops in the last few images.
