Extended Family Photos . Hermosa Beach photographer

I get it. Everyone has extremely busy schedules with so many commitments these days. So, when I get an inquiry for extended family photos, I know they worked hard to put something together that works for everyone’s schedule. I remember a photo session that I was part of almost 20 years ago, which included 30 people…grandparents, parents, kids and kids of kids. It was nuts, but we did it! I and love the photos and memories so much.

SO, yes…taking extended family photos are some of my favorite kind of photo sessions! The best ones are hugs with the kids and grandparents, the adult siblings together who are grown and have families of their own, and getting the nuclear families, of course!

This particular family came from all over the world to be together, and decided to document their reunion with a photo session right here in Hermosa Beach at the Hermosa Beach Pier. They were so smart to book their accommodations at The Beach House, which is located right on the strand in Hermosa Beach. It was the perfect spot to book several rooms right in the heart of the city, next to the beach, coffee shops and restaurants, all within walking distance. I met them on their 3rd day of their vacation, which was perfect so that everyone could get acclimated to the time zone, especially the kids (there may or may not be a cell phone in the youngest one’s hand in one photo to keep the peace at that moment….do you see it? 😆).
